What difference are people making by spreading the Kony 2012 video around? Spreading awareness? That’s cool and all, but what is that going to do? just because people know this shit is happening doesn’t mean they’re going to do anything about it. These people aren’t going to go out and endlessly beg the government to intervene and possibly fuck things up even worse. We went into Iraq and Iran and fucked things up even worse there, plus we’ve wasted billions of dollars. Think about the actual costs of going into Uganda. We’re trillions in debt, going further down should be the opposite priority of America. I know it seems a little heartless to have the mindset of because it’s not here, it’s not our problem, but honestly, intervening would just make things worse.
